Discovering Commercial Real Estate offers a broad overview of the basics of commercial real estate and how it differs from residential real estate. Attendees will be able to distinguish and understand the commercial broker’s role and discover the different types of commercial properties, terms, valuation methods, marketing and resources for further education.

Stan Evans, JD, CCIM
Employed in real estate since 1984, Stan has worked in many facets of the industry including the management of brokerage, property management and development firms, land sales and acquisition, commercial land development, investment property brokerage and legal, property tax, marketing and facility planning consulting.
Stan holds a law degree from Indiana University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina. Licensed in Indiana to practice real estate, he received his CCIM designation in 2011. He has been involved in many prestigious projects throughout the state and is actively involved in local civic and volunteer organizations.
Stan is a past president of ICBR and sat on the Board of Directors from 2006 to 2014.
Jim Baker, CCIM, SIOR
Jim Baker has been a REALTOR® since 1977, and founded Baker Commercial Real Estate with his wife Kim in 2004. Boasting nearly 40 years of industry experience, Jim has served several years as the former district seven representative on the ICBR board and now serves as President. He is actively involved in the Kentucky Commercial Real Estate Alliance (KCREA), and has earned his designation from the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
