Indiana Association of REALTORS®

IAR represents more than 18,000 REALTORS® statewide who are involved in virtually all aspects related to the sale, purchase, exchange or lease of real estate property in Indiana. All ICBR members are also members of IAR. IAR provides a forum for professional development, research and the exchange of information among its members, and to the public and government for the purpose of preserving the free enterprise system and the right to own real property. IAR members also belong to one of the 42 local REALTOR® boards/associations in Indiana and to the National Association of REALTORS®, which is the world’s largest professional organization. Additionally, members can join one of the many NAR institutes, societies and councils to enhance their expertise and network with other professionals globally. The National Association of REALTORS®, The Voice for Real Estate®, is America’s largest trade association, representing over 1 million members involved in the residential and commercial real estate industries. Appraisal Institute

The Appraisal Institute is a global membership association of professional real estate appraisers, with nearly 24,000 members and 91 chapters throughout the world. Its mission is to advance professionalism and ethics, global standards, methodologies, and practices through the professional development of property economics worldwide.

Organized in 1932, the Appraisal Institute advocates equal opportunity and nondiscrimination in the appraisal profession and conducts its activities in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)

BOMA International was founded in 1907 as the National Association of Building Owners and Managers. The association assumed its present name in 1968 as it broadened its reach to include Canada and other affiliates around the globe. Today, BOMA International represents 92 local associations throughout the United States and 13 affiliates in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia and South Africa. BOMA’s 16,500-plus members own or manage more than nine billion square feet of commercial properties in North America. BOMA International is a primary source of information on office building development, leasing, building operating costs, energy consumption patterns, local and national building codes, legislation, occupancy statistics and technological developments. CCIM Institute

The CCIM Institute confers the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation to commercial real estate professionals through an extensive curriculum of 200 classroom hours, in addition to industry experience. The CCIM education curriculum addresses financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis – the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate. There are 9,500 CCIMs in 1,000 markets worldwide. An additional 9,500 practitioners are pursuing the designation. Counselors of Real Estate (CRE)

The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) is a professional membership organization established exclusively for leading real property advisors. The purpose of the organization is to advance, enhance, and support these leaders by serving as a resource for information, by creating opportunities for professional development, by facilitating networking, and by providing the benefits of camaraderie. Members are awarded the CRE Designation, bestowed by invitation only, in recognition of their achievements in real estate counseling.


Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)

The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) is an association of property and asset managers who have met strict criteria in the areas of education, experience and ethics. Founded in 1933, IREM’s mission is to educate real estate managers, certify their competence and professionalism, serve as an advocate on issues affecting the real estate management industry, and enhance its members’ professional competence so they can better identify and meet the needs of those who use their services.


National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP)

NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, is the leading organization for developers, owners and related professionals in office, industrial and mixed-use real estate. NAIOP provides unparalleled industry networking and education, and advocates for effective legislation on behalf of our members. NAIOP advances responsible, sustainable development that creates jobs and benefits the communities in which our members work and live.


REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI)

The REALTORS® Land Institute is the only real estate membership organization serving practitioners who specialize in land transactions, ranging from farms and ranches; recreational and special interest properties; raw land; transitional land; subdivision and lot wholesaling; to site selection and land assemblage. Since 1944, the organization has been dedicated to building knowledge and building business for its members. RLI offers superior education through its RLI Land University and professional developments programs provides an array of services that encourage networking and referral opportunities, and serves as a voice in Washington on land-related issues through the National Association of REALTORS®. Members of the REALTORS® Land Institute may earn the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation, which is conferred to only those land specialists who complete a rigorous education program and who achieve a volume of successful land transactions.


Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR)

SIOR awards the SIOR (Specialist, Industrial & Office Real Estate) designation to brokerage specialists who meet its strict experience, transaction, education, and ethical standards. Recipients of this designation are recognized within the commercial brokerage industry as the most experienced and capable commercial real estate practitioners.
